The commonwealth of Moncalvillo comprises nine municipalities (Daroca de Rioja, Train, Fuenmayor Moncalvillo furnaces, Medrano, Navarrete, Sojuela, Sotés and Ventosa) which has a total of 150 km2. The biodiversity of flora and fauna is given, especially bio-climatic conditions of the area.

There is a wealth of flora and fauna in the territory Moncalvillo from Fuenmayor (434 m) through Daroca de Rioja (716 m) to the peak Serradero (1494 m) of the Sierra Moncalvillo.
