Moncalvillo Day Center, located in the town of Fuenmayor, opened in September 2011 with the aim of providing day care for older people with reduced mobility. It is a public facility managed by the Government of La Rioja whose function is to welcome dependents who need support in their personal and social skills, and in which there are therapeutic and welfare services.

The Moncalvillo Day Centre is for people living in the area with a recognized degree of dependence (Grade II, III and in cases of vacancies, people from Grade I) and over sixty years, which is collected daily from home to the center.
The objectives pursued are:

•      Improve or maintain the highest level of independence possible.
•      Supporting families and carers.
•      Promote interpersonal relations participating in the planned activities.
•      Preventing health problems, avoiding unnecessary hospitalizations.
•      Early detection of other problems.

The processing of applications can be performed in the UTS (Social Work Units) of the Commonwealth through the team of social workers, then will the Government of La Rioja is one administered resolved and squares.
